Policy Watch

The Chancellor's Spring Statement confirmed the Warm Homes Plan funding envelope at £13.2bn over the next parliament. For solar installers, the key line is buried on page 47 of the supplementary document: "rooftop PV will be eligible as a standalone measure under the new social housing pathway from Q3 2026..."

Tariff Update

Ofgem confirmed Q2 standing charges. Import unit rate remains at 24.5p/kWh. The good news: three major energy suppliers have nudged SEG rates — Octopus now offers 7.9p and E.ON 7.6p compared to the 7.5p floor. Not huge, but worth flagging to customers.

Install volumes by region in February 2026 show a 34% increase in the North West versus the same period last year, driven largely by social housing retrofit programmes. Meanwhile, South East volumes softened slightly, likely due to planning delays on listed buildings...
